Cilento experience
Cilento is a region in southern italy 100 km far from Napoli. It’s a place i go since i was a kid. Blue sea and sky, wild nature, little fisherman villages, a gorgeous inland with rivers lakes and national parks. Everything was arrenged by DMC Cilento Viaggi. We were accommodated at a nice hotel in Palinuro town, and the next morning we went on troncone beach, a very amazing seashore with transparent water and….first surprise: the previous night a turtle laid eggs, hidden them in the sand!!! So marine biologists came in the late morning to move’em in a safer point on the same beach. At sunset we met Antonio Cavaliere, manager of Cilento viaggi DMC, at the port of Marina di Camerota, another town very close to palinuro, and there was the second surprie: a traditonal lamparata organized for us. On a motor boat with skipper we reached the lampara ( a boat with a lamp for lighting up the dark water at night and attract fish) and a fishing boat. From the bottom of the sea with the help of very huge net, they took a lot of fresh fish. We did attend to this magical moment clapping and listening the shouts and the orders of the captain. It’s been fabolous. Then we went all together on Pozzallo beach to eat on the sand all the fish they catched. Muy rico! Tasty fried “alici” pasta with tuna olives tomato and onions, fruit and pastries. Live music, the moon and the stars…perfect!
